Anna Webb, one of the group and I knew each other through university coordinating Ecumenical Orientation Camps for Uni students. This song is almost haunting, the music is calm and a great song for use in a service, retreat or gathering.
I’ve used it as part of a worship soundtrack, as a call to worship, in a prayer and as a blessing… quite simply this is a beautiful song.
Fill me, ocean air
cleanse me with your breath
help me forget the troubles in my life
restore in me pease of mind.
Fill me, cleanse me
let me find peace again.
Wash me, summer storm
cleanse me with your tears
wash away all of the filth
stir my soul into likeness of your brightness
Stir me, dazzle me
awake my soul.
Nourish me, first fruit
let me taste the goodness of you
sweet juices flow into my heart
reminding me of simple things
Nourish me, feed me
make my heart hungry.
